Drop-in visits are about 30 minutes in length and are intended to provide basic daily care for cats while their owners are away. Services may include feeding, refreshing water, litter box scooping and topping off as needed, light play or interaction if the cat is willing, and a general observational safety check of the home. Our goal is to provide consistent, reliable care while maintaining safe and realistic expectations for all visits.
Visits are scheduled between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Preferred visit times are accommodated when possible, typically within approximately 30 minutes. Exact visit times are guaranteed only when required for veterinarian-prescribed medication administration and must be discussed and confirmed in advance.
Drop-in visits are offered to clients within a limited service area near our home in Carlisle, PA. Due to scheduling and travel constraints, we are unable to accommodate drop-in visits outside our regular service radius. Please contact us in advance to confirm availability for your location.
A visit update will be sent after each visit unless the client requests in advance that updates not be sent (for example, during early morning or late-night visits).
Some cats may hide during visits despite reasonable efforts to locate them. Owners should disclose known hiding behaviors, escape risks, or common hiding locations in advance. If a cat cannot be visually located during a visit despite reasonable efforts, the visit will still be considered complete.
We are happy to administer medications mixed into food or treats. Medications requiring direct handling or restraint must be discussed and approved in advance. If a cat cannot be safely located or medicated during a visit, the visit will still be considered complete.
Clients must provide reliable access to the home at the scheduled time of service. An emergency contact must be on file in case the owner cannot be reached. In the event of a medical emergency during a visit, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the owner and/or the designated emergency contact. If neither can be reached and urgent care is required, we are authorized to seek veterinary treatment at the nearest available veterinary clinic. All veterinary expenses remain the responsibility of the pet owner.
